Snowblind Friend

It is amazing to us here at Everblade Central how a young man should continue to pay for a mistake in terms of years. If the player in question is to be believed, this flirtation with cocaine was a "one-time" event. There is no indication whatsoever that he should not be believed.

Who among us hasn't committed some sort of indiscretion? Who of us hasn't broken the law in some way? We will not go so far as the "he who is without sin..." analogy, but you can see the similarities here.

Ricky Williams is banned from the NFL for a victimless crime. This offense did not prevent him from marketing his talent in Canada. Our Snowblind Everblade was suspended from a different league, so why should said suspension follow him to the ECHL? Has this young man failed a drug test in the ECHL? Has he even been tested?

By and large, his was and is a victimless crime. It is unknown if he has taken the ice while under the influence of "illegal" substances, but this is still the land of presumed innocence. If there is a doubt, test him. We believe he will pass any tests given.

The ECHL and the Everblades should not in our opinion penalize this player for past discretions.

Amen, and pass the biscuits on that one, MB. I've been saying that since the moment I heard the news. Why would a league with no drug testing program in force, penalize a player because he was suspended from another league AND in another country no less. Methinks this young man should be looking into finding a good attorney.....

Personally, after watching the clips from "Making The Cut", the Canadiean reality show, I was psyched about getting to see Lukin play here. I had a feeling that once he was reconnected with fellow "Cutters" (Mac, Brinner, and Tayls) that we'd be seeing some strong hockey on Germain ice out of those 4 boys. Guess it's a waiting game to see what will happen now.

the reason why the ECHL is doing this is to cover there ass. EBG I agree there is no drug testing policy and IF he was under the influence at any time the Blades would have suspended him anyways. so if the Blades did not suspend him why did the ECHL? like I said.....

PFRANK what can I say. shes a winner. LOL

so lets get some predictions here. most of us on here have a pair. (other than EBG, at least I dont think she has a pair) I am going to say we will WIN on wed. night. final score something along the lines of 3-2. will be a nail biter down to the last minute. now does anyone (EBG) know who the ref is going to be on wed. night?

No clue on the ref situation for Wednesday night. I do think you're being optimistic on that score there SYITC. Gwinnett's got their top scorers all lined up to run full force at the 'Blades, who still are missing two of their top scorers. A lot of boys will have to step up in order to take this one, so we'll see who hears and obeys the "call".

One thing I will tell you that if Big Ern plays with the same intensity that he did in this past weekend's games, no one can say he isn't turning it up and doing what needs to be done.

A pair? Naaaa, I don't need external body parts to do my thinking..... I just tell it like I see it - no bullshit to be found where I'm concerned!

PMan, in case you haven't noticed, EBG *does* have a pair, a rather nice pair at that. They just sit up higher on her....

Gzuz, I thought you would have noticed that (those??)

I have to agree with you all on the Lukin thing. Test the boy & let him play. Who cares what happened across the border in a different league!?!

As for "a pair", some of us do have them a little higher up, but we do not have to think with them!!!
